Austrians to take over remaining shares of Sparkasse Bank

The majority owners of Sparkasse Bank Bosnia and Herzegovina, headquartered in Sarajevo, announced the purchase of the remaining shares in order to become 100-percent owners of the bank.

The majority owners are Steiermarkische Bank und Sparkassen AG, based in Austrian Graz.

They hold about 97 percent of shares. According to the announcement, they will call a bid for the remaining 3% of shares in the coming period, BiznisInfo writes.

Besides, the owners announced that they would use the statutory right to enforce the share transfer of those shareholders who don’t agree to sell.

This right belongs to those shareholders who acquire more than 95 percent of the shares of a company.
