The largest Croatian concern, Agrokor, is raising a new loan from commercial banks.

Croatian media have been reporting for some time that Agrokor is in financial trouble and that it is even threatened with collapse.

It is believed that Agrokor, which also owns Konzum, Jamnica, Ledo, Tisak, Belje and others, will need big financial injection to avoid the worst-case scenario.

On the other hand, the Croatian concern claims that their finances are stable and that there is no fear of bankruptcy.

One of the companies that will be a guarantor, i.e. co-debtor at banks for a new loan, is Sarajevski Kiseljak, one of the most successful BiH companies, i.e. the leading Bosnian producer of mineral water, BiznisInfo reports.

Agrokor is the majority owner of Sarajevski Kiseljak, which represents one of the most valuable BH brands.

Given that Sarajevski Kiseljak operates successfully, the money will probably will used to rescue other Agrokor members.

Assembly of Sarajevski Kiseljak, which will decide on giving approval for the Agrokor’s loan, is convened for March 10, but the call to shareholders doesn’t say what is the amount, and what’s the money for.

Sarajevski Kiseljak sold 150 million liters of beverage in 2015 of which it earned 43 million Euros.
