Installation showing mass grave in shape of RS provokes outcry

An installation that has been set in Sarajevo downtown has provoked angry reaction from Serb politicians.

Installation which shows a mass grave in a shape of Republika Srpska – has been set on the busy Square of the children of Sarajevo, in front of BBI Center.

Next to it, there is a sign reading “Welcome to Republic of Srpska”. Organizers from the so-called Anti-Dayton group said their aim is to show “how Republika Srpska was created”.

Serb politicians reacted angrily.

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that the installation is shameful and insulting and yet another proof that BiH is absolutely unsustainable.

President of the RS National Assembly Nedeljko Cubrilovic expressed outrage and protest, noting that it is incomprehensible that even 21 years after the Dayton Agreement things still happen that incite national, racial, or any other form of hatred.

This happens on the eve of the 21 anniversary of genocide in Srebrenica. Commemoration to the victims of genocide will be held tomorrow in Srebrenica.
