Bosnia exports 200 million KM worth of weapons, mostly in Saudi Arabia

According to the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, Bosnia and Herzegovina has exported a total of 200 million KM in arms and ammunition from January to December 2017, and in the first month of this year.

As confirmed for Radiosarajevo.ba, 193.8 million KM was exported from Bosnia and Herzegovina and another 6.97 million KM in January 2018 alone.

We exported mostly to Saudi Arabia, exactly 45,583,023 KM, then to Afghanistan 29,947,702 KM, while interestingly, the third country was the United States with 26,236,492 KM.

We exported 18,275,292 KM worth of weapons and ammunition to Turkey, 10,928,341 KM to Egypt, and 10,725,465 KM to UAE.

8,940,195 KM was exported to Serbia, 8,365,085 KM to Morocco and 5,090,367 KM worth of arms and ammunition to Croatia.

Huge growth

In 2016, weapons exported from BiH totaled 171,194,521 KM, and the year before 138,898,132 KM!

The sale continues to grow, which is confirmed by the fact that we sold weapons worth 93,875,855 KM in 2014, and 63,705,765 KM in 2013.

Compared to 2011, arms and ammunition exports from BiH increased by more than 155 million KM!

In the last five years, most weapons are bought by Saudis, Americans, followed by Afghanistan, Switzerland, Egypt, Malaysia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Turkey, Pakistan etc.
