Bosnian retailer Bingo is set to launch the construction of a 12,000 sq m shopping centre in the central municipality of Jajce in the next few months, with completion planned for May 2017, the municipal government said.

The new shopping centre will house a Bingo hypermarket, a restaurant and associated facilities.

Bingo boosted its footprint on the retail trade and consumer goods market in Bosnia in 2014 when it acquired retail units from French peer Intermarche, which operated under the Interex brand.

Tuzla-based Bingo runs some 170 business units in Bosnia and has more than 6,000 employees.
