The main donor for the construction of Sarajevo cable car which will connect downtown with Trebevic, Edmond Offermann, has arrived in Sarajevo.
At the press conference at the City Administration Offerman has confirmed that he donated 7.5 million KM for the reconstruction of the pre-war symbol of Sarajevo and that works should begin in 15 days.
Offerman recalled that he was involved in the project since 2010 and that he was glad that the city government this year has made a business plan that was extremely important for the construction of the cable car.
Restaurant “Vidikovac” will ensure that fares are low enough and affordable for all citizens.
“My donation is operational and we are currently transferring the money. I hope that everything will be finished by the spring of the next year. The cable car should be a part of traffic in Sarajevo, and the city government has managed to do this without the help of other governments and the EU,” said Offerman.
Sarajevo mayor Ivo Komsic said that he has signed a contract with the company “Leiter” which won the tender and will build a cable car.
“I hope that the Sarajevo cable car will start operating by the April 6, 2017”, Komsic said.
Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka said that the restaurant “Vidikovac” will be the most beautiful building in Sarajevo, and within it there will be a hotel with 30 rooms, spa, wellness etc.
