Turkish investor and owner of Izmir-based Asia Prefabrik, Hasan Asik, will next month begin the production of prefab houses and containers in rented premises in Bosnia's northern municipality of Dubica, parallel to working on the construction of his own plant, the country's Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) said.

Once completed, the plant will employ a hundred workers, with plans to increase this number as production grows, FIPA said in a statement late on Wednesday.

FIPA held meetings with Asik earlier this year, following which he made the decision to invest in Bosnia's Dubica and acquired land for the construction of a plant.

In December last year, Italy's MegaGroup announced its arrival in Dubica and said its silicon ingots and wafers production plant, set to open by the end of 2016, will have a nameplate capacity of 120 MW per year during the first phase of the project.
