GDP growth speeds to 3% in 2015

Bosnia and Herzegovina's economic growth accelerated to 3.03% in 2015 from a revised 0.32% growth a year earlier, data from the statistics agency showed.

In 2015, Bosnia's GDP totalled 28.5 billion KM ($16 billion/14.6 billion euro) at current prices, compared to 27.3 billion KM a year earlier, the statistics office said in a statement.

The largest sector of Bosnia's economy remained the wholesale and retail trade sector with a 13.45% share of total national output, followed by the manufacturing industry with 11.64%.

The trade sector expanded 3.59% on the year, while the manufacturing industry grew 6.12% through 2015.
The strongest annual growth of 6.96% was reported by professional, scientific and technical activities, while other service activities saw the deepest decline of 3.25%.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected Bosnia's economic growth at 3.0% this year.
