Azerbaijan ready to invest one billion Euros in infrastructure projects in Bosnia

BiH Minister of Communications and Transport Ismir Jusko received today head of the diplomatic mission of Azerbaijan in BiH Ismayil Jafarov.

The representative of Azerbaijan expressed strong interest in investing in transport infrastructure in Bosnia, highlighting four specific projects: the motorway Lasva – Travnik, Prenj tunnel on Corridor 5C, and section Mostar – north and Mostar – south on the highway on Corridor 5C.

Companies from this country hope that the administrative and legal procedures when it comes to those projects will be completed as soon as possible, and that the deadlines for their implementation will be determined. They are willing to work in drafting project documentation.

In addition to these projects, Azerbaijan is interested in all other infrastructure projects in Bosnia.

Minister Jusko expressed his satisfaction with the offer of the Azerbaijani side, stressing that BiH has lost too much time and that now has to speed up work on transport infrastructure projects.

He added one of the main mechanisms to reach that goal is establishment of public-private partnerships with the companies that want to work on the construction of the highway on corridor 5C.

The head of the diplomatic mission of Azerbaijan informed Jusko on the intention of Azerbaijan to invest one billion Euros in the infrastructure projects in BiH.
