Three-day fair “Bosnian market” brings together more than 30 exhibitors

A three-day fair of beekeeping and medicinal plants “Bosnian market – good host of honey and herbs” opened yesterday in front of the former “Mercator” in Sarajevo’s neighborhood Dobrinja. The fair is traditionally organized by the Beekeepers Association of the Sarajevo Canton and with the support Novi Grad Municipality.

In this way, the Novi Grad Municipality wants to support domestic producers and enable development of domestic production with the promotion and sale of their products. With the promotion of BiH sector of medicinal and aromatic plants, as well as beekeeping, he Municipality aims at creating favorable environment for SMEs.

Assistant Mayor of Novi Grad Municipality for the economy and local economic development Dzemaludin Kahrovic said the goal is to develop domestic production through these events.

“The Bosnian market we opened in Dobrinja is a meeting place for local supply and demand. Novi Grad Municipality shows concern for domestic production and producers, and most importantly, it thus cares for health of our population, because we know the origin of these products,” said Kahrovic.

The fair, which brought together more than 30 exhibitors from Sarajevo Canton, Konjic, Bihac, Gracanica and other BiH regions, will be open until 24 November, 9am to 5pm, and citizens will be able to buy quality bee products, various types of medicinal plants, as well as cosmetic products made of herbs and honey.
