BiH gets its first billionaires

Bosnia and Herzegovina has apparently received its first billionaires in local currency.

Those are Hastor family, owners of ASA Prevent Group, and Senad Dzambic, owner of retail chain Bingo.

According to the consulting firm Deloitte, revenues from the sale of ASA Prevent Group last year amounted to 545 million Euros (about 1.1 billion KM).

This is a significant increase compared to 771 million KM Hastors had in 2014, according to the regional list of Forbes magazine.

Hastors thus became the first BiH billionaires.

But probably as early as this year they will be joined by owner of Bingo, the largest retail chain in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Revenue of Bingo amounted to 802 million KM in 2015, but grew by 240 million, or 42 percent compared to 2014.

Since Bingo this year continued the expansion, it is also expected to continue growth in revenue, which should this year exceed one billion KM.

Bingo has won customers with its low prices as well as strong support for the domestic economy.

We should also mention that 92 multimillionaires (people whose wealth is estimated at more than $ 30 million), and 525 millionaires currently live in BiH, and this number is constantly growing.
