Adriatic Insurance Company loses leading position

At the beginning of the year, Adriatic Insurance Company has lost its leading position on the market.

To remind, this insurance company was formed late last year, after Bosna-Sunce Osiguranje (BSO) purchased Zovko insurance company for 9 million KM.

Given that these two insurance companies together had the largest market share last year, Adriatic thus entered this year as a leader. However, the first results show that this insurance company lost its leadership at the very beginning.

In January, however, Adriatic made a premium of 4,608,625 which is only enough for the third position.

This shows that things will not go smoothly for this company. At the end of last year, BSO and Zovko had a common market share of around 14.4 percent. But their successor, Adriatic, had a share of only 11.8 percent in January.

Uniqa insurance company tops the list when it comes to premiums in January with 5,639,664 KM. It is interesting to note that Croatia Insurance Company took the second place with a premium of 4,983,494 KM.

Sarajevo-Osiguranje is the fourth with 4,602,188 KM, and fifth place belongs to Euroherc with a premium of 4,484,562 KM.
